COTS MOTORS LIST
Teams intending to use COTS motors are required to specify it in the Technical Questionnaire made available by the organisers, being of the teams’ responsibility to support the respective costs. After submission of the questionnaire the EuRoC organisers will provide more information on the acquisition process, including ordering, transport and payment.
1. CESARONI MOTORS
Due to the current global situation, production of rocket motors is being challenged and facing a shortage of propellants ingredients, which led to a decrease of motors availability. Hence, all Cesaroni motors available for EuRoC 2023 can be found at the website of the EuRoC’s European supplier Euro Space Technology (https://eurospacetechnology.eu/index.php).
Furthermore, we were made aware that no more O3400 reloads are available.
For technical documentation on Cesaroni motors refer to http://www.pro38.com.
For more information regarding Cesaroni motors, availability and related processes please contact Euro Space Technology through eurospacetechnology@gmail.com.
2. AEROTECH MOTORS
The US regulations have recently changed, with the US State department demanding the end user information and an export permit for every single end user. Please note that it is not possible to predict the run times for the state department permit and only after receiving the permits can production of motors start, with a production lead time of several months. Teams are highly advised to do not pursue with the order of Aerotech motors since there is uncertainty regarding a timely arrival for EuRoC.
For Aerotech motors models, more information and technical documentation refer to https://aerotech-rocketry.com.
